Our Week (and a half) in review

It's been a busy week (and a half)  I think that about how long it' been since I posted a photo week review with my Instagram photos.  I am still seriously lovin' this app.  If you don't have it, get it.  It's free.  If you do, find me and follow.  MandiMcClure
Go now, I will wait right here.

Ok, now that you are back:
Last Wednesday we had lunch with my Mamaw.  (Tristan's Great Mamaw)  I caught at SUPER SWEET photo of the two of them on the couch.  It's with my phone, but I don't care.  I am so gonna make this her Mother's Day gift this year.  I think she'll love it.

Last Saturday we went to the farmers market and to Tweetsie Railroad for opening weekend.  The first of many trips up to Blowing Rock this year.

Sunday we planted our garden.  We got some pretty good rain this week so I expect to see some things sprouting up thru the ground soon.
This past Wednesday Tristan had his first dental appointment.  It went great.  The lobby had birds in a cage, toys to play with and Tangled was playing on the TV.  First impressions were great.  When we were called back, there were more toys and TV's on the ceiling for the kids that would sit in the chairs.  I think there were too many gadgets beside the chair, so Tristan opted for the lap-to-lap visit.  That means he sat on my lap and leaned back into the lap of the dentist.  It went great.  His teeth and gums are perfect and the dentist told me not to worry about his thumb sucking habit.  He will stop on his own eventually.  What all we have been doing has been right and we just need to keep it up.  We left with a bouncy ball and a new Diego toothbrush.  Teeth brushing just got a lot more fun in our house.  I think we now have a kid who likes to go to the dentist.  I hope so.  I love going myself.

After the dentist we headed to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville.  Wow!  For a kid, that place is awesome!  As an adult, I was amazed by it.  I do wish they had more benches to sit on, though.  We were there for almost 4 hours and my feet were tired.

A few other notes about our week.  The Walmart parking lot... Always an interesting place.  Take the top right hand corner photo for instance.  Tristan and saw this Moon-moth on the ground on our way out.  The bottom left hand corner was something I also saw later in the week.  Someone using neon poster boards and the tailgate of their old pick up to trash someone else.  Classy stuff, y'all. Classy!
